The intimate counterpart to The Freshwater Room, for gatherings that should feel close and personal: a wake after the service, a family lunch, or a celebration of life for close friends and family. It opens this December and bookings are being taken now.

For the farewells the whole community wants to be part of: family, friends, colleagues, teammates and neighbours. Choose long tables for 272, oval tables for 300, or a cocktail-style gathering for 300 where guests can move around, catch up and share their stories.

Most wakes and celebrations of life come together in a matter of weeks. Our team is used to working to short timelines and will talk you through what is available for your date.
A package for gatherings held within 12 weeks
For cocktail-style gatherings held within 12 weeks of your enquiry. Cold, hot and substantial canapés plus a Somewhen beverage package for the full duration, at a lower rate than our standard packages.

Seated or cocktail, at the time that suits you
Gather over lunch after a morning service, or come together in the evening. Choose a seated meal at long or oval tables, or a cocktail-style gathering where guests can move between the room and the terrace.
Lunch events run 11am to 3pm and dinner events from 6pm. All catering and beverages are provided by our in-house team. Subject to availability.

- Two rooms to choose from: close family gatherings in The Shelly Room through to 300 guests in The Freshwater Room.
Limited paid parking onsite, both rooms are wheelchair accessible, and the ferry from Circular Quay arrives at the wharf below.
